“What comes out of a person is what defiles them. 21 For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, 22 adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. 23 All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”
22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy,[c] your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eyes are unhealthy,[d] your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
“‘These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
7 They worship me in vain;
their teachings are merely human rules
Evil eye is a very real thing. Although we see it mentioned in occultic teachings, it likely stems from the Bible, as most occultic teachings do. The occult tends to take ancient teachings and practices and tends to reframe them or misuse them, which is why the Bible speaks against it. When too many eyes are on you and they're peering into your life with hidden intentions, hidden motives, evil eye, jealousy, hatred, malice, it makes you a target for intense spiritual warfare. Watching from the shadows, speaking curses on other people's lives, is witchcraft. Gaining unlawful entry to people's lives is not only an earthly crime, but is also a demonic act.
"You will know them by their fruit." Words are merely words, without action. Are you part of the problem or the solution? Do you carry hatred in your heart? Is that malice? Do you want what doesn't belong to you? Are you jealous or envious of what someone else has? Do you believe it's easier to take what doesn't belong to you by breaking and entering, rather than knocking and asking? Is your malice and your hatred so severe that you either can't walk away or approach what you're seeking correctly? How did these demons enter you? And do you want to be freed from possession? Or are you committed to wickedness and eternal damnation in the lake fire?
